All federal requirements pertaining to coverage, treatment criteria, beneficiary eligibility, and provider participation in the Denti-Cal program can be found in two locations: The Denti-Cal Provider Handbook; and in periodically issued Provider Bulletins. The Provider Handbook covers information on patient eligibility, provider enrollment, specific dental procedures, listed by CDT code that Denti-Cal covers, fees paid for each procedure, filing of claims, steps for challenging payment disputes, and other information about the administration of the program and treatment of beneficiaries.
